Interior problem 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 61000 miles The power windows in my Buick will not work. I have a 1998 Buick Century. Take two jumper wires and run them to a battery. It makes a buzzing sort of noise when you press the drivers side window button but nothing happens. Our remote start wiring schematics allow you to enjoy remote car starting for an air conditioned cabin in the summer and remote vehicle starting for a warm interior in the winter. Good half day for amateur. It worked up until about a week ago just from the drivers side control only. . Mine were in the drivers door. I purchased a complete used window and mirror switch control for the driver's door and now the back windows will now work from their locations but the front passenger window will not work from any location. Now they do not work at all. When the problem first occurred the windows worked sporadically.
The window goes up when the 12V and ground is switched. When the window goes down, 12 volts goes down one of the wires and the other wire is the ground. When pulling bottom of panel from door lift with a notched bar to avoid tearing the fasteners out of the cardboard panel. The windows will not work from any of the other door switches either. Each of the three harnesses is listed below along with the cars that use the harness. You probably only need to do the driver side door panel depending on where the break is and how much line you need to replace try to do it without taking the door apart if you can. Your car and the donor car will have to match.

Two screws behind seatbelt notch at top need to come out to allow positioning the glass. The window lock switch was missing so I assumed that it was just stuck in the locked position because the back windows would not operate from their locations either, just the drivers location. Where I spliced them into the old wires and taped them. Remove speaker if in front bottom of door to use your hand to do work in the door.
I do not know if you still need this information, but I am going ahead and answering it anyway. There are 9 wires coming from the switch, and labeled in letters A-S.
